Adalene S. Eversole

DODGE CITY - Adalene S. Eversole, 97, died July 25, 2012 at Good Samaritan Center, Dodge City. She was born on March 27, 1915 in Ford County the daughter of George C., Sr. and LuLu L. (Crego) Lenz.

Adalene was a 1933 graduate of Dodge City High School. On January 6, 1934 she married Evert Warren Eversole at Cimarron. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1986. Mrs. Eversole loved everybody and will be missed by her many friends.

She was a member of the First Church of God of Dodge City.

Adalene is survived by a daughter, Barbara Birdsell and husband Jim of Smithville, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Delores Eversole of Dodge City; four grandchildren, Edward Eversole of Dodge City, Robert Eversole of Douglas, Wyoming, Debra Kendig and husband Ron of Topeka, and Dedra Tepe and husband Brian of Dodge City; 11 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Daniel and Amy Winkler both of Dodge City. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard Warren Eversole; five brothers, Wayne, Virgil, Earl, Chester Dale, and Carl Lenz; and three sisters, Dorothy Snodgrass, Leona Decker, and Neva Hostetler.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Darrell Hendrickson presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, July 27, 2012 from noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the First Church of God or Good Samaritan Center both in care of the funeral home.
