DODGE CITY - Marjorie M. Moreland, 95, died July 29, 2012 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City. She was born on December 4, 1916 at Sylvia the daughter of Walter P. and Mildred A. (Yust) Jones.

Marjorie moved with her family to Dodge City as a child. She married Melford L. Moreland at Dodge City. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1975. Mrs. Moreland and her husband moved to California in 1945. She later moved back to Dodge City in 1999.

Mrs. Moreland was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dodge City.

Marjorie is survived by a son, Victor Moreland and wife Irene of Honolulu, Hawaii; sister, Wilma Ridgway of Dodge City; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; six brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lance Carrithers presiding. Burial will be held at a later date at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from noon to 2:00 PM.
