Dodge City - Lois Virginia (Davis) Holden, 90, died August 20, 2012 at Western Plains Medical Complex ,Dodge City. She was born on October 22, 1921on a farm north of Haggard in Gray County, Kansas to William Galen and Leona Belle (Taylor) Davis.

She graduated from Montezuma High School and attended Dodge City Junior College. Lois retired after working at Boot Hill for many years.

She is survived by a sister Wilma Rose Bryan of Dodge City; nephew David Bryan and wife Shelley of Cimarron; niece Malinda Bryan-Smith and husband Jeff of Overland Park, Kansas; nephew-in-law Danny Sakata of Parkville, Missouri; three great nephews; and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and two nieces.

Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Charitable Care Fund in care of the funeral home.
